Last year on Aug 21 I began my first day as a REAL teacher. I finally had my own class, students for the better or worse. I also decided to become an Alaskan I would not shave my face (they shave my stomach in March for surgery) for one year. As Aug. 21st approached this year I began to have doubts, why shave now, its been a year, why not go for 2 years or 30 years. With much anticipation in my classroom and around the town the 21st came and went and I still hadn’t shaved. I had taken big steps and purchased a beard trimmer, but made a major mistake. my beard trimmer was made in China (we all chinamen don’t grow beards….and my beard was bigger and tougher (because its Alaskan). When I finally decided to ‘trim’ it, it took me about 12 hours because the trimmer kept running out of juice. The next day when no one realized I had shaved I quickly realized that I didn’t take off to much, just 1 1/2 inches and now it looks nice and professional…ok maybe ‘Alaskan Professional’. Don’t worry in 3 months it will be out of control by xmas. Here is a picture of my beard after 374 days and then a couple hours after I have ’shaved’.
Notice in the 2nd picture that I have a neck and my chest hair no longer connects to my face
